Pals Program

The Pals program is a community based program designed to buddy together youth in the foster care system. While in the community the children will work on Living Skills that will help prepare them for the future. The Pals program is tailored for youth 8 years of age to 18 years of age.

Skill and Trust Building Workshops

Fostering the Journey Skill and Trust Building Workshops are designed to develop effective communication and social skills for youth within the Foster Care system. These workshops will help youth to understand and learn the importance of positive relationships and how to maintain and foster trust within them. All workshops are led by a mental health professional. 

Tutoring Program

Do you know a child in foster care that needs a little extra assistance in a subject?

 

Fostering the Journey tutoring program can help pair that youth with a professional that will guide and aid in proficiency of the subject.

8 years to 18 years of age.

Mentorship

Fostering the Journey mentorship program is geared to support teens in high school (grades 9 to 12). Mentors will provide Career information along with guidance, motivation, emotional support, and role modeling.

Mentees who participate in the program will need to fill out an application. Applications will be due by July 31st so that we can adequately support a certain about of teens per grade level.

Scholarship

Mentees who participate in Fostering the Journey mentorship program are eligible to receive a scholarship. The participant must have a cumulative 3.2 GPA from entrance of the program until graduation. Scholarships will range from 200 to 500 dollars.
